I came alive in Christ in 2008 after years of rejection, overindulgence, and living for the dangerous pleasures of temporal life. I was lost, giving no thought to consequences, throwing away my future. It is only by the mercy of God that I’m not dead or dying today.
Contrary to what some “happy” preachers will tell you—all issues, problems, depressions, and disappointments are not cured instantly when you’re born again. Putting faith in Jesus for salvation is where the journey begins. Step by step, day by day, as we cling to the word of God and the wisdom of His Spirit, we learn what it means to be free…indeed.
These commentaries are penned from the heart. I’m not a theologian, biblical scholar, or seminary graduate. Like the apostles, I’m an unknown nobody trying to tell the world about Somebody who can save them from the impending judgment. Come what may, our best lives can only be found in Christ. It’s always in our best interest to live on His side. I pray these words demonstrate that I have been with the Lord (Acts 4:13).
